Ceiling Fans -Both Efficient And Elegant.
Ceiling fans can bring both design elegance and energy efficiency to your home. When I moved into my new house my rooms were bare and drab. I decided to install some ceiling fans and my home came to life. I found that my stylish fans brought a elegance to every room. Also, to my surprise, I noticed a decrease in my power bill. Wow, beauty and saves energy. You cant beat that with a stick.
Ceiling fans are just electric motors with blades hooked to them. The blades are angled and able to run both forward and backward. If you run forward you push air if you run backward you pull air. This allows the air in your room to mix creating and even climate. Doing this will take the strain off of your heating and cooling unit and save you money on your energy bill.
In the winter time your fan will pull air to the ceiling and push it down your walls. This in turn will push the cold air on the floor upward. As the air mixes it will bring balance to the room temperature. You heater will not have to work so hard to keep your room nice and cozy warm and that will show a significant savings in your power bill. That there is enough to give you a warm feeling
In the summer season your fan basically runs on the same principle. As it pulls hot air from the ceiling it pushes it down mixes with the cold air. Your cooling unit does not have to work so hard to cool the room. If less your unit works to cool your house the less energy you will use. See, you can save money in the summer also.
Ceiling fans are great for bringing style to any room. They come in all shape, sizes, colors. Ceiling fans also come with different kinds of controls. Some have the traditional pull string while others have controls that mount on the wall. For us less than active folks, like myself, you can even get them with remotes and sit in the recliner and control your ceiling. Ceiling fans are stylish additions to any room in the house. Even in those room that always seem to dark you can get ceiling fans with light fixtures and once again see the light. This stylish addition is a must for any room.
Another great thing about ceiling fans are that they are low maintenance. All they need is just a little dusting every now and then. Now, it is important for two reasons that you dust your fans at least once a week. First when dust builds up on you blade it will kill the air that is blowing and also make the fan have to work harder. Second if to much dust gets in to the motor it can cause problems with your fan. But all you have to do is get a feather duster and go over it about once a week. This will take about five minutes and add years to the life of your ceiling fan.
Alright, next up, how do we install our ceiling fan?. This is not hard at all. Some ceilings fans come with plugs that you can run down you will, others can be put in place of your light fixtures and there are some that you will have to run wire for. I would suggest that if your situation requires you to deal with electricity that you get someone who knows. I have installed them before but I also have an electrician for a brother. If you grab the wrong wire of cross your wires it can be bad. So even if you have to pay someone make the investment. The money that you save with ceiling fans will pay you back month after month.
So, in conclusion we know that with ceiling fans we can bring style to our homes, and we can save money on our power bills, and also help our heating and cooling unit keep our house one comfortable temperature all year round. Sounds like a winning deal to me. So what are you waiting for? Get on up go get your fan, have someone safely install them and start enjoying the wonderful world that is ceiling fans.
